The resort comprises 36 hectares of natural beauty with its own 9 hole par three golf course, swimming pool, 4 floodlit tennis courts and a freshwater lagoon.
The resort is 200 metres to a secluded beach, 10 minutes from Coffs Harbour's town centre, 15 minutes from Coffs Harbour domestic airport and 10 minutes from coach terminal and railway station.

| Each of the 135 resort rooms within Novotel Opal Cove Resort have their own balconies with views toward the Pacific Ocean or over the landscaped gardens west toward the Great Dividing Range. Each room features reverse cycle air-conditioning, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, in-house movies, colour television and AM/FM radio, direct dial ISD/STD telephones, dataports and facilities for tea and coffee.
Suites with separate bedroom and living areas or self-contained villas are available on request. Resort villas all have their own kitchens, lounge, two or three bedrooms and a lock up garage.
